After you have enrolled in the SFIA, there are a couple of steps to take to ensure continual compliance with the SFIA program and to receive your payments:

  • You must complete and return your annual Certification Letter (which includes your Woodland Activity Annual Report) to the MN Department of Revenue by July 1 each year.  These letters are mailed out by May 15 each year. If you do not receive yours by June, contact the MN Department of Revenue at 651-556-6088 to ensure they have your correct address on file.

  • You must keep your Stewardship Plan current and registered with the Department of Natural Resources.  Plans are current for 10 years at a time. To check on your plan's registration status, contact the Department of Natural Resources. You may also contact your plan writer.
