After you have enrolled in the SFIA, there are a couple of steps to take to ensure continual compliance with the SFIA program and to receive your payments:
You must complete and return your annual Certification Letter (which includes your Woodland Activity Annual Report) to the MN Department of Revenue by July 1 each year. These letters are mailed out by May 15 each year. If you do not receive yours by June, contact the MN Department of Revenue at 651-556-6088 to ensure they have your correct address on file.
You must keep your Stewardship Plan current and registered with the Department of Natural Resources. Plans are current for 10 years at a time. To check on your plan's registration status, contact the Department of Natural Resources. You may also contact your plan writer.
