Purpose: Natural Climate Solutions through Forestry and Agricultural practices that sequester Carbon will play an important role producing climate benefits.   

Learn how Minnesota Landowners can benefit economically from USDA’s Climate-Smart Agricultural and Forestry Commodity Production projects that leverage greenhouse gas reduction from Troy Daniell, Minnesota’s NRCS, State Conservationist.  

Learn about two new forestry programs and how landowners can benefit economically from producing carbon credits for the Carbon Marketplace. Chrissy Shaw, Senior Forest Manager for American Forest Foundation will tell us about their Family Forest Carbon Program for Improved Forest Management. Dr. Marissa Spence, Forestry Manager for Climate Action Reserve will tell us about Reforestation using their Climate Forward Program.
