STEWARDSHIP GUIDE

This is a book for private woodland owners in the Midwest that want to be stewards of their woods. This book is designed to help woodland owners identify goals for their property and work with a professional forester to choose the management practices that will help meet those goals. The first edition of this book was published in 1996 and a second edition was published in 2009. This revised third edition of Woodland Stewardship builds upon previous successful editions. The book provides and overview of woodland stewardship and forest management practices and include new or expanded chapters on:

Forest health (Chapter 7)
Agroforestry (Chapter 11)
Climate change for woodland owners (Chapter 16)

An online version of the book includes additional activities and resources for continued learning on these topics. The book is available in a variety of formats including print, e-book, and online versions: z.umn.edu/woodlandstewardship.
